Jorge Villamor Tigno is a professor at the Department of Political Science at the University of the Philippines Diliman. He has a doctorate in public administration from the UP National College of Public Administration and Governance (NCPAG). His research interests are in the areas of Asian labor migration and comparative immigration policies; democratic consolidation and transitions in Southeast Asia; non-governmental organizations and state-civil society relations in the Philippines; and electoral and political reforms in developing states.
