Ruth Phillips published an article titled “The Location of Migrants’ Political Culture: A Large-Scale Survey-Based Study of the Japanese Community in Contemporary Australia” with Takeshi Hamano and Shinsuke Funaki in Japanese Studies (2023).

The International Workshop on Parliamentary Monitoring Organizations (PMOs) in Asia was successfully held in Melbourne on Nov. 29 and 30, 2023.  20+ participants actively exchanged local knowledge and best practices to create a foundation for enhancing citizen participation in the legislative process.  During the meeting, they also envisioned launching the Asian Network for Legislative Transparency – the first of its kind in the region.
