Since 2017, Badamdash Dashdavaa has been working as a Lecturer at the National University of Mongolia, specializing in Democracy Education, World Politics, and Religion and Politics. Before joining the National University, Mr. Dashdavaa worked in various capacities in a number of institutions including as a CEO at the Mongolian Media Corporation, a prominent private news production group in Mongolia, as a Corporate Secretary to the Board of the Golomt Bank, as a Program officer at the Asia Foundation, as an Advisor to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and as a Media and Public Relations Advisor to the then Speaker of the Parliament and worked as a Head of the Human Resource and Administration Department at the National University of Mongolia. Mr. Dashdavaa earned his MA in Political Science from Ohio University in 2003, focusing on Comparative Politics and International Political Economy. He holds a BA in Political Science from the National University of Mongolia. He is interested in pursuing research in democracy studies, political economic analysis, as well as political psychology behind the decision-making in voting behavior.
Ongoing Research:
- Project Textbook on Public Relations in the Mongolian Context
Together with a colleague from a Journalism department, we are planning to produce a textbook on Public Relations exclusively reflecting Mongolian experiences in the field from the last 3 decades. For that purpose, we have interviewed around 20 experts and need to interview 10 more and start drafting the text book content. It is planned to complete within the first half of 2025. - Project Social Accountability Outreach project Jointly with lecturer Nandintsetseg Battulga also a fellow from the Sociology and Social work department we have submitted a social accountability project that would use Youth Participatory Research Action tool to enhance and boost youth participation in improving social accountability and their involvement in decision making. We expect that this project will be supported by the Asia Foundation Mongolia.
